RECOLLECTIONS & REGENERATIONS

Location: Richard Nixon Library, Yorba Linda, CA
Client: Viet Stories of UC Irvine

The Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum partnered with Viet Stories: Vietnamese American Oral History project at the University of California, Irvine to host an art, history, and oral history exhibition that aimed to foster the understanding of the Vietnamese diaspora that followed at the end of President Nixon's administration.

As exhibition designers, we aimed to document the past while capturing the diversity and transformation of the current Vietnamese American community.  To create a layered and interactive experience for visitors, the exhibition included personal artifacts that refugees brought with them, oral history interviews, and original artwork by prominent Vietnamese American artists, including Dinh Q. Le, Hung Nguyen, Nguyen Le, Long Nguyen, Ann Phong, ThuyLinh BennettKang, among others.
