Let's Move

As part of the renovation of the Willie Henderson Sports Complex, the artwork ties into the overall athletic theme of the park design.
The artwork is inspired by the “Let’s Move!” public health campaign that was spearheaded by former First Lady Michelle Obama. 
The campaign promoted physical activity through the support and cooperation of families, schools, and communities. The initiative stated that “Those who feel supported by friends and families or are surrounded by others interested in physical activity, are more likely to participate.” The artwork aims to celebrate physical activity and sports as a collective pursuit, and by extension celebrate the community itself.
The project is scheduled to be installed in 2025.
