Cradling

Location: Denver, CO
Client: Colorado State Mental Health Hospital
Collaborating artist: Lauren Iida
Fabricator: Magnum Companies

Inspired by the balanced wholeness found in nature, the artwork reflects the idea that wellness emerges from the dynamic interaction of many forces— physical health, emotional wellbeing, relationships, and the physical and cultural environment.  The stone and steel halves of the sculpture create a central “window” that invites viewers to look inward, or outward to the landscape beyond. This element reinforces the idea that the healing journey of mental health is not linear or insular, but shaped by connection, openness, and integration.
